Tax prep support
BAS and IAS preparation support
We prepare Business Activity Statement and Instalment Activity Statement workpapers from your reconciled Xero or MYOB accounts: GST collected and paid, PAYG withholding and instalments. Once your TPB-registered agent has signed a written supervision agreement with us, that agent reviews and lodges each statement on the ATO's quarterly or monthly cycle.

Built from books that already tie out
Because the same team reconciles your bank and card accounts each week, the GST split between sales, purchases and adjustments is already sitting in your ledger by the time a BAS is due. We turn that reconciled data into the workpaper your appointed BAS adviser needs to lodge, rather than reconstructing it from statements at deadline time.
The dates that drive the cycle
Quarterly BAS for 2026-27 fall due 28 October 2026, 28 February 2027, 28 April 2027 and 28 July 2027, with a lodgment-program extension available on all but the February quarter when lodged through a registered agent. A business with GST turnover of A$20 million or more must lodge monthly instead, due on the 21st of the following month. If your turnover has just crossed A$75,000 (or A$150,000 for a non-profit), you have 21 days to register for GST before a BAS obligation exists at all.
Who does what
Fee-for-service BAS work legally requires TPB registration. Our role is preparation: reconciling the GST ledger, calculating PAYG withholding and instalment amounts, and drafting the statement. Your TPB-registered agent supervises that work and is the one who lodges it with the ATO, once a written supervision agreement between us is signed; until then we keep the ledger current and your agent handles the statement directly.
Payroll figures flow straight in
Single Touch Payroll, including Phase 2 detail, feeds PAYG withholding figures directly into the BAS workpaper, and from 1 July 2026 the Payday Super timing requirement runs on the same payroll cycle, so nothing needs re-entering by hand.
Questions
Frequently asked questions: BAS and IAS preparation support
Do you lodge the BAS yourself?
No. Once your TPB-registered agent has signed a written supervision agreement with us, that agent lodges it. We prepare the reconciled workpaper and calculations that go into the statement.
What if I lodge monthly instead of quarterly?
Monthly BAS is due on the 21st of the following month for businesses with GST turnover of A$20 million or more, and we work to that cycle instead.
How do you handle the GST registration threshold?
We track turnover in your reconciled books and flag the A$75,000 threshold (A$150,000 for non-profits) as it approaches, so the 21-day registration window does not get missed.
Does this cover Instalment Activity Statements too?
Yes, for businesses that are not registered for GST but still need to report PAYG instalments or withholding through an IAS.
What happens if figures are not ready before the BAS due date?
We flag the risk early so your registered agent can request a lodgement-program extension where one applies, or lodge with the best available figures and amend once everything is finalised.
Who lodges the statement?
A registered BAS or tax agent reviews and lodges the statement we prepare, under a documented supervision arrangement.
Can you handle both monthly and quarterly cycles?
Yes, the cycle follows your GST turnover and registration, and we work to whichever applies.
What is included in bAS and IAS preparation support?
BAS and IAS preparation support covers gST classification review by transaction type and pAYG withholding and instalment workpapers. The exact scope is agreed and set out in writing before work starts, so you know precisely what is and is not covered before the first deliverable arrives.
How is bAS and IAS preparation support priced?
Pricing for bAS and IAS preparation support depends on your transaction volume, the software you use, and how much cleanup is needed before ongoing work starts. Current ranges are published on the pricing page, and your exact fee is confirmed in writing before anything begins.
