Australia edition

A weekly rhythm, timed around your day.

Timed around your working day, so most questions are answered before you are back at your desk.

Short answer

Working with Finbryn starts with a call about your entities, your software and your financial year end, followed by read-only access, a written scope and onboarding into Xero or MYOB. From there, bank and PayID activity is coded and reconciled weekly rather than left to pile up, and a senior reviewer checks the file before anything reaches you or your tax agent.

The process

From first call to your first close

  1. Call

We ask about your entities, your ABN and GST status, and whether Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks Online already holds your books.

  2. Scope

With read-only access we look at your accounts, then send a written scope and a price in Australian dollars.

  3. Onboard

Bank and card feeds are connected, your chart of accounts is agreed, and we line up your close date against your financial year.

  4. Close every week and every month

Transactions are coded and reconciled weekly, checked by a senior reviewer, then a monthly report and open-items list go to you and, where needed, your tax agent.

Questions

Questions about how this runs day to day

Why reconcile weekly instead of monthly?

A gap between what your bank shows and what your books show is easier to fix after a week than after a full month, especially against fixed obligations like payroll and super.

Where is the work done?

The bookkeeping and preparation work is done by our accounting team in Pakistan, under a contract with Northlane Solutions Inc. in the United States, with a senior reviewer reviewing every month's work before it reaches you. Your data is handled under the safeguards set out in our privacy policy and security page, and your file stays in your own QuickBooks Online, Xero or Sage account.

Who takes our numbers to the ATO?

Your own appointed tax agent, once BAS or income-tax season arrives. We hand over reconciled figures, not a lodgement.

What happens near 30 June?

We line up the close around the Australian financial year end, so your tax agent starts the annual return from books that are already reconciled rather than a backlog.

What do we need to prepare before the first call?

Nothing formal. Read-only access to your current accounting software and bank feeds, if you have them, is enough for us to scope a plan and quote against your actual transaction volume.

How long before the first month's reports are ready?

Once onboarding access is granted, the first full month's reports typically land within the following month's standard delivery window, the same timeline every month after that.

The standards behind every step

  • Weekly

Bank and card accounts reconciled every week, not in a month-end rush.

  • Day 5

Books closed and reported by the fifth business day of the month.

  • 1 hour

A first written reply within one business hour.

  • One pod

A named pod that knows your file, with a written handover if anything changes.

  • Your file

Your Xero or MYOB subscription stays in your name, with its full history.

  • Monthly

Month to month. No annual contract to get out of.
