Editorial policy
Finbryn publishes service pages, industry pages, guides, free tools and a daily news post. This page says how each is made, which sources come first, when a reviewer is named, when a date changes and how to report an error. We say plainly where AI drafts the text.
Sources we rely on first
A rule, a number or a deadline is backed by the body that sets it: the IRS and its forms and instructions, the FASB and the IFRS Foundation for accounting standards, the SEC for filings and releases, and a state agency's own page for a state rule. Trade press and vendor pages can tell us that something changed. They are not the source for the rule itself. Guides, service pages and industry pages list their sources at the end.
What is automated and what is not
Daily posts. A daily post is drafted by an AI model from public news items and primary sources. Automated checks run before it publishes: a rules check for statements we do not make (for example, that we file or sign returns), a check that each figure appears in our facts list, a comparison against our own pages so a topic is not repeated, and a search-based fact check of each factual claim when that service is available. A person does not read each post before it goes live. Every post carries a "How this was made" line for that reason.
Every other page. Service pages, industry pages, guides, tools and comparison tables are drafted with AI assistance, then checked against our claims rules and the sources listed on the page before they publish.
Nothing here is advice for your situation. Finbryn prepares and supports tax work. A credentialed signer or partner signs and files it.
Named reviewers
A page names a reviewer only when that person reviewed that page. The name, the credential with the body that awarded it, and the date appear under the page title. A page with no reviewer line has not been reviewed by a named person. A credential is shown only with the exact body that awarded it.
How dates work
"Published" is the day a page first went live. "Updated" changes only when the content changes in a way a reader would notice: a figure, a deadline, a rule, a source or a recommendation. Fixing a typo or reordering a section does not change it. We take the date from the last substantive edit in our version history, not from the day the site was last built. Sitemap dates follow the same rule.
Report an error
Tell us the page and the line at hello@finbryn.com. If it is wrong, we fix it and add it to the corrections log. The log shows the date, the page, what it said and what it says now.
