Capacity for firms, white-labeled

For accounting and tax firms

Short answer

Finbryn adds capacity behind UK accountancy and bookkeeping practices: white-label bookkeeping, Self Assessment and Corporation Tax season support, dedicated staff pods, backlog cleanup projects, review passes before partner sign-off, and outsourced planning. Anything needing an Agent Services Account, AML supervision or an ACSP registration is lodged by your firm's own registered adviser, never by us.

Capacity behind your own registration, not instead of it

UK accountancy and bookkeeping practices sit behind a stack of registrations that a back-office team cannot borrow: an Agent Services Account (ASA) for anything filed with HMRC, AML supervision under the Money Laundering Regulations 2017 for accountancy services generally, and, for anyone filing at Companies House on a client's behalf, Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP) status. Finbryn does not hold any of these. Our accounting team works inside your Xero, QuickBooks Online or Sage file, to your review standard, and every filing still goes out through your own registered adviser.

What we take on and what stays with your firm

What we take on is production: categorising transactions, reconciling bank and card feeds, tying trial balances, organising the paperwork behind a Self Assessment (SA100) or Company Tax Return (CT600), and building draft workpapers to your practice's own format. What stays with your firm is everything the registrations above cover: submitting anything through your ASA, signing off VAT and Making Tax Digital returns, and filing at Companies House. A named adviser at your practice reviews and lodges every return we help prepare.

Six ways UK practices use us

Some practices start with white-label bookkeeping for a block of monthly clients, produced under their own letterhead. Others need busy-season Self Assessment and CT600 prep support around the January and Companies House filing windows, or a dedicated staff pod sized to a specific client book. Practices absorbing an acquired client list use overflow cleanup projects to work through backlog months. Some want a second pass on a file before it reaches the partner, which is review support. And practices still deciding whether outsourced capacity fits their model start with outsourced capacity planning, a scoped pilot before any client file moves.

Where the work happens and how data travels

Northlane Solutions Inc. is the US company you contract with. Pod hours overlap the end of your working day, so a file handed off before you close often comes back reconciled the next morning.

Questions

Frequently asked questions: For accounting and tax firms

Do you hold an Agent Services Account or file anything with HMRC?

No. We do not hold an ASA, AML supervision or ACSP status. Every VAT, Self Assessment, Corporation Tax or Companies House filing goes out through your practice's own registered adviser.

Can your clients tell the bookkeeping is produced outsourced?

Only if you tell them. Deliverables carry your practice's own branding and templates, and nothing on the client side names our team unless you choose to disclose it.

How is our client data kept secure?

Access follows least-privilege principles and a written device policy, with any cross-border transfer governed by a signed data transfer agreement, agreed before any personal data reaches our team.

What happens once a HMRC-facing return is ready?

It goes back to your firm as a completed draft. A named adviser at your practice, acting through your own ASA, reviews it and lodges it.

Can capacity flex around the January Self Assessment deadline?

Yes. Practices often add support a few weeks ahead of the 31 January online deadline and scale it back once filings clear.

What is not included when a practice engages white-label support?

We produce working papers, reconciliations and draft returns to your practice's own standard. We do not hold an Agent Services Account, sign or lodge anything with HMRC, or take on your firm's professional indemnity exposure. Filing and sign-off stay with your practice's own registered partner or agent, as they do today.

How quickly can capacity flex up before a filing deadline?

Most practices bring a pod or overflow project on two to four weeks before their busiest filing window, which is enough time for onboarding and a first review cycle. A same-week ramp is harder to do well, so earlier planning ahead of January or year end gives a cleaner handover.

How is pricing structured for practices?

Pricing runs on a pod or per-return basis depending on whether you want dedicated capacity or project work, not a single rate for every practice. Volume, review depth and turnaround expectations are agreed up front and confirmed in your engagement letter before any client file is touched.
