Canada edition
Small enough to know your file, built for CRA deadlines.
A short list of what Finbryn does differently for Canadian clients, and who actually signs when a signature is required.
Finbryn runs outsourced bookkeeping for Canadian companies under a contract with Northlane Solutions Inc.. Our accounting team does the coding and reconciling; a senior principal checks every file before it reaches you. Where a T1 or T2 is filed electronically for you, a Canada-resident EFILE registrant transmits it, and you or your corporation's authorized officer certifies it; GST/HST returns are filed under your own CRA account, by you or a representative you authorize.
The problem we saw
A Canadian owner switching bookkeepers usually cannot answer three simple questions about their current one: who exactly touches the file, who is accountable if something goes wrong, and what happens to the file if the relationship ends. Finbryn exists to make those three answers boring: printed on this page, not discovered the hard way.

What a Canadian client actually gets
One team, not a rotation
The founders make the calls on how accounts are staffed. You are not passed between account managers as you grow.
A second set of eyes, every month
A senior principal reviews the reconciliation and, on Growth and Scale, the T2 and GST/HST preparation, before any of it leaves our side.
One named entity, on the hook contractually
We say plainly which entity you contract with and who is on the hook, on this page and in the engagement letter, not buried in a schedule.
A named filer, not a vague promise
CRA's EFILE rules keep filing with a Canadian resident. We name that person or firm to you up front instead of leaving 'who files this' unanswered.
Who reviews your books
Team
Principal-led review
Nothing leaves before a senior reviewer has checked it.
Each month's work is prepared by the team, then checked by a senior reviewer before your reports go out. On the call, ask who reviews your file and we will tell you.

Questions
Questions Canadian clients ask about who we are
Who actually does the bookkeeping?
A named pod, working inside your QuickBooks Online, Xero or Sage 50 file, under a contract with Northlane Solutions Inc..
Who reviews the work?
A senior principal reviews every file before it reaches you. That review happens every month, not only when something looks off.
Can your team file my T2 or GST/HST return directly?
No. CRA's EFILE program requires the filer to be a Canadian resident with a valid SIN, so a named Canada-resident EFILE-registered filer transmits the return we prepare.
How can I reach the people working on my account?
Through your named pod, by phone at +1 (224) 593-2454 or by email at hello@finbryn.com. If your contact ever changes, you receive a recorded handover memo.
Is Finbryn a licensed accounting firm in Canada?
No. Finbryn provides bookkeeping and preparation support and does not hold a Canadian public accounting licence. Formal accountant's reports, audits and reviews are performed by a provincially licensed public accountant, and returns are filed by you or a registered preparer.
How long has Finbryn worked with Canadian businesses?
Finbryn works with Canadian businesses on an ongoing basis today, applying ASPE, GST/HST and CRA deadline rules throughout the monthly close. Specific client history and case studies are not published on this site; a first call can speak to what a similar business's setup looked like.
