Canada edition
From first call to a T2 handoff you can trust.
Work you send during the day is reviewed and back before your next business morning, with the same routine every month.
Working with Finbryn starts with a call about your entities, provinces and software, then a read-only look at your accounts and a written scope in Canadian dollars. From there, each month follows the same routine: transactions in, books reconciled and reviewed by a senior reviewer, then reports and any GST/HST or T2 handoff sent back to you.
The process
From onboarding to a filed T2
Call
We learn which provinces you operate in, whether you charge GST or HST, and which software (QuickBooks Online, Xero or Sage 50) you already use.
Scope
With read-only access we review your accounts, then send a written scope and price shown in Canadian dollars.
Onboard
We connect bank feeds, agree your chart of accounts against ASPE or IFRS, whichever your business reports under, and set a monthly close date.
Close every month
Transactions are coded and reconciled, checked by a senior reviewer, and reports and open questions come to you by business day five.
File where a signer is required
T2 figures are prepared by our team and handed to a Canada-resident EFILE-registered filer, since CRA's EFILE rules require the filer to be a Canadian resident holding a SIN. GST/HST returns are filed under your own CRA account, by you or a representative you authorize.
Questions
How the close actually runs here
Where is the work done?
The bookkeeping and preparation work is done by our accounting team in Pakistan, under a contract with Northlane Solutions Inc. in the United States, with a senior reviewer reviewing every month's work before it reaches you. Your data is handled under the safeguards set out in our privacy policy and security page, and your file stays in your own QuickBooks Online, Xero or Sage account.
What do you need from me each month?
Mainly nothing beyond the bank and software access already connected at onboarding. We reach out only when a transaction needs your input.
How fast do you reply if I have a question?
A named contact replies directly, and we also book calls in your Canadian business hours when a live conversation is easier than email.
Does the close cover payroll?
We reconcile the payroll journals from your Wagepoint or provider file each month. Running payroll and remitting source deductions stays with your payroll platform or provider.
What happens if we miss sending something you need for the close?
It goes on the open-items list for that month and gets flagged again the following period until it is answered. The close still finishes on the numbers available, with the open item noted, rather than the whole month waiting on one missing answer.
Can we change our close date after we start?
Yes. The close date is set with you at onboarding based on when your feeds and receipts are typically complete, and it can move if your own reporting rhythm changes. Tell your named pod and the next cycle reflects the new date.
