Reviewer's note
Software is up on last month after two seats were added mid-month. Revenue includes one milestone invoice that will not repeat next month.

What goes into the pack
A financial summary covering profit and loss, balance sheet and cash position in board format, a KPI page tracked against prior quarters and targets, and a one-page narrative highlighting the risks, wins and decisions that actually need the board's attention. An appendix carries the supporting detail for anything the board is likely to question.
Timed ahead of the meeting
The pack is built to a schedule set with you, typically several days before the board meets, since a pack that lands the morning of the meeting defeats the point of having one.
Matching an existing template
Where a Hong Kong company's board, or an overseas parent's board, already works from a template or a standard reporting format, we build the pack to that format rather than introducing a new one.
Ahead of the annual audit
For a company approaching its financial year end, the board pack is a natural place to flag that the annual statutory audit is coming and to show the board the state of the reconciled books that the practising Hong Kong CPA will be working from.
Multiple entities, one pack
Where a Hong Kong holding structure sits above one or more operating subsidiaries, the pack shows the consolidated position first, with each entity's own figures held in the appendix, so directors see the group view without losing the ability to check any single entity's number.
Built on the same close
Board packs draw on the same month-end close and management reports already running each month, so nothing in the pack is a one-off exercise built just for the meeting.
Questions
Frequently asked questions: Board packs
Can the board pack flag risks ahead of our annual audit?
Yes. For a company approaching its financial year end, the pack can flag that the statutory audit is coming and show the board the state of the reconciled books it will be built from.
Does the pack cover more than one Hong Kong entity?
Yes. Where a holding structure sits above one or more subsidiaries, the pack shows the consolidated position first, with each entity's own figures held in the appendix.
Does the board pack cover our annual audit status?
It can flag when the annual statutory audit is approaching and the state of the books it will be built from, though the audit itself is performed separately by a practising Hong Kong CPA.
Who normally requests a board pack in Hong Kong?
A company with outside shareholders, an overseas parent, or a board that meets on a set schedule and needs the numbers ahead of time rather than read out live.
How far in advance of a board meeting is the pack usually ready?
Enough time for you to review it and add commentary before it goes to the board, which we agree with you around your own meeting calendar rather than fixing to a single date every company must follow.
How far ahead of the board meeting is the pack ready?
The pack is built to a schedule you set, typically several days ahead of the meeting so there is time to review it first.
Can the pack match a template our board already uses?
Yes. We work from a template you provide or from the format your investors expect.
How do we get started with board packs?
Getting started with board packs begins with a short review of your current records and software access. Once that is done we confirm scope and timing in writing, and ongoing work begins on the schedule agreed with you.
What if our records for board packs are not up to date?
If your records are behind, we scope a catch-up first so board packs starts from a clean, reconciled base. That catch-up is priced and timed separately from the ongoing engagement, so you always know what each part costs.
