Data user

For visitors and clients in Hong Kong, Northlane Solutions Inc., trading as Finbryn, is the data user of personal data collected through this site, for the purposes of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO). Email privacy@finbryn.com with any question about how your data is used.

What we collect

A contact form, a booking request or a calculator on this site collects only what you type into it, generally a name, business email, phone number, company name and your message. We use it to reply, prepare a proposal, and once you become a client, to deliver bookkeeping and preparation-support work.

Who else handles it

A short list of processors support this site under our direction: Vercel for hosting, Supabase for storing submitted forms, Resend for sending confirmation email, Cloudflare for domain resolution and screening automated form abuse, and Cal.com or Calendly for the booking calendar, loaded only once you click to book. Vercel Analytics counts visits without a cookie, and an internal Telegram alert reaches our team when a form arrives, without any personal data in it.

Where the work is done

The bookkeeping and preparation-support work itself is carried out by our team in Pakistan under Northlane Solutions Inc.'s instructions. We put a data processing agreement in place with that team covering how your data is used and protected, in line with the data protection principles set out in the PDPO, even though the PDPO's specific cross-border transfer provision has not been the subject of a separate mechanism in the way the UK or EU require.

How long we keep data

We hold enquiry and client data for as long as the relationship lasts, and for a further period to satisfy our own accounting and legal record-keeping duties, after which it is deleted or de-identified.

Your rights

Under the PDPO you can ask to be told what personal data we hold about you and request that we correct it if it is wrong, by writing to privacy@finbryn.com. If you are unhappy with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data.
