Capacity for firms, white-labeled
For accounting and tax firms
Finbryn gives Hong Kong CPA practices extra back-office capacity: white-label bookkeeping, busy-season workpaper support, dedicated staff pods, overflow cleanup projects, pre-audit review support and outsourced capacity planning. Every file gets senior principal review before it reaches you, and every audit sign-off and BIR51 filing stays with your own practising Hong Kong CPA.

Capacity for firms, not a stand-in for your audit sign-off
A Hong Kong CPA practice runs into the same wall every year: every active company on the books, dormant ones aside, needs a statutory audit, and audit season compresses months of client work into a few busy weeks. Finbryn adds back-office capacity so that compression does not fall entirely on your own staff, working inside your firm's chart-of-accounts standard and HKFRS reporting format. Every file passes senior principal review before it reaches your reviewers.
What moves to us and what does not
What we take on is the production layer: categorising transactions, reconciling bank and MPF payroll records, tying trial balances, organising source documents and building draft workpapers to HKFRS presentation. What stays with your practice is everything the Companies Ordinance (Cap. 622) reserves for a practising Hong Kong CPA: the audit sign-off itself, since Hong Kong has no small-company exemption, and the BIR51 profits tax filing that depends on those audited accounts. We describe this as preparation support because that is exactly what it is.
Six ways Hong Kong firms use us
Some practices start with white-label bookkeeping for a block of audit clients whose monthly books need cleaning up before year-end. Others need busy-season workpaper support in the run-up to profits tax and audit deadlines, or a dedicated staff pod sized to a specific client segment. Practices absorbing a new block of clients lean on overflow cleanup projects. Some just want a second pass before a partner signs the audit sign-off, which is review support. And firms still deciding whether outsourced capacity suits their practice start with capacity planning, a scoped pilot before any client file moves.
Delivery
Northlane Solutions Inc. is the company your firm contracts with. A file your staff hands off before leaving the office is often reconciled and waiting the next morning. See pricing for how capacity is quoted.

Questions
Frequently asked questions: For accounting and tax firms
Do you carry out the statutory audit for your clients?
No. Hong Kong has no small-company audit exemption, so every active company's accounts must be audited by a practising Hong Kong CPA. We prepare the books and workpapers behind that audit; the audit sign-off itself stays with your practice.
Can you build workpapers to HKFRS presentation before our audit fieldwork starts?
Yes. We tie trial balances, reconcile supporting schedules and format management accounts to HKFRS before handing the file to your audit team.
Do you file BIR51 or the employer's return on your clients' behalf?
No. We organise the source documents and draft the schedules behind those filings. Your practice files BIR51 once the audit is complete, and files the employer's return under its own name.
How fast can you add capacity before audit season?
Most practices bring on extra capacity a few weeks ahead of their busiest filing window. The exact ramp depends on file volume and how quickly access to your working-paper software can be set up.
What happens to client data once it reaches your team?
Access is scoped to the specific files assigned, granted through the accounting software your practice already runs, and can be revoked at any time.
What is not included in support for a Hong Kong CPA practice?
We prepare books, workpapers and schedules; we never sign off on the audit, lodge a BIR51, or take a client relationship over from your practice. Every audit sign-off, filing and client-facing decision stays with your named partners and your own practice.
How is capacity support priced for a practice?
Pricing follows the scope agreed for a pod, a project or ongoing workpaper support, set out before work starts and confirmed in your engagement letter, rather than a rate that shifts once busy season is already under way.
How does client data move between our practice and your team?
Files move through the practice's own Xero, QuickBooks Online or Zoho Books login, or a shared folder your practice controls, and access is limited to the staff actually assigned to your files under Hong Kong's data protection law.
