EIN application support

Short answer

Finbryn prepares a new entity's Corporate Tax and VAT registration data for the Federal Tax Authority: activity and revenue details cross-checked against the trade licence, the application reviewed before submission, and the registration deadline tracked so the AED 10,000 late-registration penalty does not become a live risk.

Registering for Corporate Tax

Every UAE taxable person, including a company that expects to owe nothing because its income sits below the AED 375,000 threshold, has to register for Corporate Tax with the Federal Tax Authority within the timeline the FTA sets under Decision No. 3 of 2024. We prepare the registration data from the entity's trade licence and ownership record, check it for consistency, and track the deadline against the date of incorporation rather than leaving it to be remembered later.

The penalty, and the waiver window

Missing the registration window carries an AED 10,000 administrative penalty. The FTA's Late Registration Penalty Waiver Initiative can lift that penalty if the entity files its first Corporate Tax return, or annual declaration, within seven months of the end of its first tax period. We build the registration and the first filing into one timeline so the waiver window is never the only thing standing between a client and a AED 10,000 bill.

VAT registration, on a separate threshold

VAT registration runs on its own trigger: mandatory once taxable supplies and imports exceed AED 375,000 over the preceding 12 months, or are expected to in the next 30 days, with a voluntary option from AED 187,500 for a business that wants input-VAT recovery earlier. We check a new entity's projected revenue against both thresholds so registration happens on the right timeline rather than defaulting to either extreme.

Small Business Relief, where it applies

A resident entity with revenue at or under AED 3,000,000 in the current and every prior tax period can elect Small Business Relief and be treated as having no taxable income for that period, unless it is a Qualifying Free Zone Person or part of a large multinational group. We flag this election at registration stage for an entity that qualifies, since it changes what the first return needs to show.

Who submits

The registration application is prepared and checked here; it is submitted through the FTA's EmaraTax portal by the entity's owner, an authorised signatory, or a Tax Agent listed with the Federal Tax Authority. Northlane Solutions Inc. is the company you contract with. See the pricing page for how this fits into an engagement.

Questions

Frequently asked questions: EIN application support

Is Corporate Tax registration required even if the company owes no tax?

Yes. Registration is a separate requirement from owing tax, and a taxable person below the AED 375,000 threshold still has to register within the FTA's set timeline.

How can the AED 10,000 late-registration penalty be avoided once a deadline is missed?

Through the FTA's Late Registration Penalty Waiver Initiative, which lifts the penalty if the entity's first Corporate Tax return or annual declaration is filed within seven months of the end of its first tax period.

Do you register us for VAT and Corporate Tax yourselves?

The application data is prepared and checked here. Submission through EmaraTax is completed by the entity's owner, an authorised signatory, or a Tax Agent listed with the Federal Tax Authority.

Does Small Business Relief apply automatically once revenue is under AED 3,000,000?

No, it is an election the entity makes, and it is not available to a Qualifying Free Zone Person or a member of a large multinational group. We check eligibility before recommending it.

Can a foreign owner without a Social Security number get an EIN?

Yes, through a paper or fax application that names a responsible party without an SSN. It takes longer than the instant online process, and we prepare the paperwork accordingly.

How long does an EIN application take?

An online application by an eligible applicant is typically issued within minutes; a fax or mail application for a foreign responsible party runs several weeks, so we build that lead time into the formation timeline.

How is eIN application support priced?

Pricing for eIN application support depends on your transaction volume, the software you use, and how much cleanup is needed before ongoing work starts. Current ranges are published on the pricing page, and your exact fee is confirmed in writing before anything begins.

What software works with eIN application support?

EIN application support runs inside QuickBooks Online or Xero, whichever you already use. If you are not yet set up in either, we can configure a file in your name so you keep ownership of it once the engagement is under way.
