UAE edition

The same five steps, every month, whatever the volume

A close that runs on a fixed sequence rather than on whoever happens to have time that week.

Short answer

Bank, card and payment feeds land in Xero, QuickBooks Online or Zoho Books first. Every transaction then gets coded and matched to its statement, with anything unclear set aside as a query rather than guessed at. A senior reviewer checks the whole month before it is marked final, and the finished figures reach you in AED with a short note on anything worth flagging.

The process

What happens, in order

  1. Feeds arrive

Bank, card and payment-provider feeds land in your ledger automatically, ready before the working day begins.

  2. Every line gets coded

Transactions are coded against your chart of accounts as they arrive; anything without clear supporting paperwork goes on a query list instead of being guessed.

  3. Accounts get reconciled

Every account, including a VAT control account once you are registered, is matched line for line against its own statement.

  4. A senior reviewer checks it

Coding, reconciliation and every open query get reviewed by someone more senior before the month is marked complete internally.

  5. You receive the finished numbers

A profit and loss, a balance sheet and a short list of anything flagged land with you in AED on the schedule agreed at onboarding.

Questions

What clients actually ask about the process

Where does the work actually happen?

Delivery runs through our accounting team, contracted through Northlane Solutions Inc. in the United States, with a senior reviewer checking every month's work before it reaches you. Your file stays in your own QuickBooks Online, Xero or Zoho Books account throughout, handled under the safeguards set out on our privacy and security pages.

Does this support a Qualifying Free Zone Person's Corporate Tax position?

Yes. Keeping records current every month gives a tax agent listed with the FTA a clean base to test Qualifying Income against the Corporate Tax Law's conditions when the return is due.

What do you need from us between monthly closes?

Usually nothing beyond the bank and software access set up at onboarding. We come back to you only when a specific query genuinely needs your answer.

How do queries actually get resolved if something looks wrong?

We confirm scope in writing before work starts, including how queries reach you and how you reach us; a named contact handles anything that comes up mid-month rather than a shared inbox.

What happens to a transaction that cannot be coded confidently?

It goes onto that month's query list rather than being coded on a guess, so nothing gets quietly buried inside a figure that looks tidy but is not.

What does the first month actually look like before this routine is running?

The first month is usually spent setting up or reviewing your chart of accounts, connecting bank feeds, and clearing any existing backlog, so everything from month two runs on a clean base. Anything found during setup that needs a decision from you gets flagged before it becomes part of the routine.

The standards behind every step

  • Weekly

Bank and card accounts reconciled every week, not in a month-end rush.

  • Day 5

Books closed and reported by the fifth business day of the month.

  • 1 hour

A first written reply within one business hour.

  • One pod

A named pod that knows your file, with a written handover if anything changes.

  • Your file

Your Zoho Books or QuickBooks Online subscription stays in your name, with its full history.

  • Monthly

Month to month. No annual contract to get out of.
