KPI dashboards
Finbryn builds a monthly KPI dashboard for EU businesses tracking the handful of metrics that actually run the company, such as revenue, gross margin or cash runway, updated from your existing accounting and operating systems with month-over-month trend lines across every entity you run.

Reviewer's note
Software is up on last month after two seats were added mid-month. Revenue includes one milestone invoice that will not repeat next month.

A small number board members and country managers can agree on
Groups spanning several member states tend to accumulate a KPI for every country manager's favourite metric, and within a year nobody opens the dashboard. We work with you to strip that down to five or eight numbers that every entity reports the same way: gross margin, cash on hand, and one or two operating figures particular to your sector, whether occupancy for a hospitality group or utilisation for a consultancy.
One definition, applied identically everywhere
The hardest part of a multi-entity KPI set is agreeing what each metric actually means before anyone starts arguing about the number. Gross margin calculated one way in a French entity and another way in a Dutch one produces a dashboard nobody trusts. We fix the definition once, document it, and apply it identically across every entity, so a group finance lead can compare countries directly rather than reconciling definitions first.
Feeding from the closed books, not a parallel process
Every financial figure on the dashboard traces back to that entity's closed month, never a separate export run in parallel that can drift from the official numbers. Operating metrics come from whatever system already holds them locally, a point-of-sale system, a booking platform, a CRM, connected once and refreshed on the same monthly cycle as the close.
Currency-adjusted where it matters
A euro-denominated group with an entity outside the eurozone needs to know whether a metric moved because the business changed or because the exchange rate did. We carry both a local-currency and a constant-currency version of financial KPIs so that question never has to be asked twice.
What it feeds into
This dashboard is the raw material behind a board pack and a budget comparison, and behind variance analysis whenever a number needs unpacking further.
Questions
Frequently asked questions: KPI dashboards
Can the dashboard separate currency movements from real business changes?
Yes. For groups with entities outside the eurozone, we flag whether a metric moved because of the underlying business or because of an exchange rate shift.
What KPIs should a small EU business track?
It depends on the business, but revenue, gross margin, cash on hand and one metric specific to your model, such as occupancy or churn, cover most cases.
Will the dashboard update automatically each month?
It refreshes as part of the close cycle; some clients use a live-connected tool and others prefer a reviewed spreadsheet, which we set up either way.
Can we request a new metric be added after the dashboard is built?
Yes, a new metric can be added once the underlying data exists in your ledger or connected systems; we scope how much rework that takes before adding it to the standing dashboard. We would rather add a genuinely useful metric than leave the dashboard static forever.
Do dashboards pull live data or a monthly snapshot?
Most dashboards refresh on the monthly close cycle for consistency with reported figures; a live-data view is possible where the underlying system supports it, but that is scoped as a separate build. We agree which fits your business before the dashboard is actually built out.
Do you build the dashboard in a new tool I have to learn?
No. Most dashboards live in a spreadsheet or a reporting add-on connected to your existing accounting software, so there is nothing new to log into.
How many KPIs should we actually track?
Most businesses get more value from five to eight metrics tracked consistently than twenty tracked occasionally.
What software works with kPI dashboards?
KPI dashboards runs inside Google Sheets or Excel, whichever you already use. If you are not yet set up in either, we can configure a file in your name so you keep ownership of it once the engagement is under way.
How do we get started with kPI dashboards?
Getting started with kPI dashboards begins with a short review of your current records and software access. Once that is done we confirm scope and timing in writing, and ongoing work begins on the schedule agreed with you.
