Bookkeeping built around what your EU accountant needs from you.
Monthly bookkeeping, catch-up cleanup and the reporting that feeds your VAT and statutory filings.
Finbryn's services for EU businesses start with monthly bookkeeping in Xero or QuickBooks Online and extend to catch-up cleanup, AP/AR support and reporting split by country of sale for OSS and IOSS sellers. Every service page states plainly where the work stops and where your own accountant of record or VAT registration takes over.
Bookkeeping
Books, reconciled every week
Monthly bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online, Xero or the platform you already run: every transaction sorted into categories, every bank and card account reconciled, and a clean set of reports each month.
- Monthly bookkeepingOngoing monthly bookkeeping: transactions sorted into categories, accounts reconciled and month-end reports delivered in the software you already use.
- Cash basis bookkeepingBooks kept on a cash basis, recording income and expenses when money actually moves, for owners who want simple books that match their bank balance.
- Accrual basis bookkeepingBooks kept on an accrual basis, matching income and expenses to the period they were earned or incurred, so reports reflect the real state of the business.
- Catch-up and cleanup bookkeepingMonths or years of books brought up to date and reconciled, with a written record of every adjustment, so monthly bookkeeping can start from a clean base.
- Bank and credit card reconciliationEvery bank, card and payment-processor account reconciled line by line against its statement, so the balance in your books always matches the balance at the institution.
- Chart of accounts designA chart of accounts built around how your business actually operates, so reports answer real questions instead of forcing everything into generic categories.
- Multi-currency bookkeepingBookkeeping for businesses that bill, pay or hold funds in more than one currency, with exchange gains and losses tracked separately from operating results.
- Inventory accountingInventory tracked from purchase through sale, with cost of goods sold calculated properly instead of estimated, on a periodic or perpetual basis.
- Fixed asset registerA running register of equipment, vehicles and other fixed assets, with depreciation calculated and posted on a set schedule so the balance sheet stays accurate.
- Intercompany accountingBookkeeping across two or more related entities, with intercompany loans, charges and transfers tracked and eliminated so consolidated reports are not overstated.
- Class and location trackingTransactions tagged by class, location, property or department, so profit and loss can be sliced by the parts of the business that actually matter to you.
- QuickBooks Online bookkeepingFull-service bookkeeping delivered inside QuickBooks Online, in a file that belongs to you, using the app connections and reports the platform already offers.
- Xero bookkeepingFull-service bookkeeping delivered inside Xero, in a file that belongs to you, using Xero's own bank feeds, rules and reporting.
- Sage bookkeepingOngoing bookkeeping inside Sage, covering transaction coding, reconciliation and month-end reporting for businesses already running on the Sage platform.
Accounts payable and receivable
Bills paid on time, invoices collected on time
Vendor bills processed and paid, customer invoices sent and chased, and both ledgers reconciled every week so cash in and cash out are never a guess.
- Bill pay (Bill.com, Melio)Vendor bills are entered, coded and routed for your approval, then paid on the schedule you set through Bill.com or Melio, with every payment matched back to its bill.
- Expense management (Ramp, Brex, Expensify)Card spend and out-of-pocket expenses are coded, matched to receipts and reconciled inside Ramp, Brex or Expensify, so month-end close does not wait on missing receipts.
- InvoicingCustomer invoices are created and sent on the schedule your contracts call for, with terms, quantities and pricing checked against the underlying agreement before anything goes out.
- CollectionsOverdue invoices are followed up on a set cadence, with reminders sent and calls logged, so slow-paying customers get consistent attention without you having to chase them yourself.
- Aged receivables reportAn aged receivables report is prepared each month, showing what customers owe and how overdue it is, so you can see collection risk before it becomes a cash problem.
- Cash applicationIncoming customer payments are matched to the right invoice and posted to the correct account, so accounts receivable reflects what is actually still owed.
- Three-way matchPurchase orders, receiving records and vendor invoices are checked against each other before a bill is approved for payment, catching price and quantity errors before money moves.
Month-end close and reporting
Books closed, numbers you can read
A repeatable monthly close that ties every account back to source records, then turns the result into management reports, KPI dashboards and board-ready packages. Built for businesses that need numbers fast enough to act on, not just file away.
- Month-end closeA repeatable monthly close that ties every account back to source records and hands you a finished set of financials on a predictable date each month.
- Management reportsMonthly profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow packaged with a plain-English narrative so the numbers explain themselves before anyone has to ask a question.
- KPI dashboardsA small set of metrics that actually run the business, tracked month over month in one place instead of scattered across spreadsheets.
- Board packsA board-ready package built from the same numbers as your monthly close, delivered on a schedule that leaves you time to read it before the meeting.
- Budget vs. actualActual results lined up against the budget every month, with the gap explained in plain language rather than left for you to work out on your own.
- Variance analysisA closer look at why a number moved: price, volume, timing or a one-off, so a variance on a report turns into an answer instead of a question.
- ConsolidationsMultiple entities, locations or subsidiaries combined into one consolidated set of financials, with intercompany balances eliminated while each entity still reports on its own.
- US GAAP conversionBooks moved from cash basis or another framework onto US GAAP accrual accounting, with every adjustment documented so a lender, investor or auditor can follow the trail.
- IFRS conversionBooks converted between US GAAP and IFRS, or built directly on IFRS, for businesses reporting to an overseas parent, investor or standard-setter outside the United States.
- Revenue recognition (ASC 606 / IFRS 15)Revenue recorded when it is actually earned rather than when cash lands, following the five-step model shared by ASC 606 and IFRS 15, so recurring and multi-part contracts are accounted for correctly.
- Lease accounting (ASC 842 / IFRS 16)Operating and finance leases brought onto the balance sheet as a right-of-use asset and a lease liability, in line with ASC 842 and IFRS 16, with monthly amortization tracked going forward.
- Deferred revenueCash collected before it is earned tracked separately from revenue and released to the profit and loss on the schedule that matches when the work is actually delivered.
- Prepaid schedulesInsurance, software subscriptions and other costs paid up front spread across the months they actually cover, instead of hitting one month's profit and loss all at once.
- AccrualsExpenses and revenue recorded in the period they actually happen, even when the invoice or cash has not moved yet, so the month's numbers reflect that month's activity.
- Cash flow statementsA statement of cash flows built from your actual accrual books, showing where cash came from and went across operating, investing and financing activity.
Tax preparation support

Virtual CFO and advisory
A finance lead, on a part-time basis
Fractional CFO and financial planning work: cash forecasting, budgeting, KPI design, investor and lender reporting, and support through a raise, an acquisition or a sale.
- Fractional CFOA senior finance lead who works your numbers on a part-time basis: monthly reviews, board and investor prep, and a second opinion before a big decision.
- 13-week cash flow forecastA rolling week-by-week cash forecast that shows what is coming in, what is going out, and where the next 13 weeks get tight.
- BudgetingAn annual budget built from your real numbers, broken out by month and department, that becomes the baseline every later report is measured against.
- FP&AOngoing financial planning and analysis: budget-to-actual tracking, margin and cost analysis, and the monthly pack that explains why the numbers moved.
- Fundraising financial modelsA financial model built for a raise: historical actuals, a growth-driven forecast, and the assumptions an investor will want to pressure-test.
- Investor reportingA recurring investor update built from your actual numbers: the metrics investors expect, delivered on a schedule you can rely on.
- Pricing and unit economicsA clear read on what each customer, order or unit actually costs and earns, so pricing decisions are based on margin rather than a guess.
- KPI designA short list of the numbers that actually run your business, defined once and tracked consistently, instead of a dashboard nobody opens.
- M&A due diligence supportFinancial due diligence support for a buy-side or sell-side deal: clean data, a quality-of-earnings view, and answers ready before the buyer or their advisor asks.
- Exit readinessA review of what a buyer's diligence team will see in your books, done before you go to market, so surprises get fixed on your own timeline instead of theirs.
- Lender covenant reportingRecurring reports built to your loan agreement's exact definitions, delivered on the schedule your lender requires, so a covenant test never comes as a surprise.
Audit and compliance support
Books ready before the auditor shows up
Books, schedules and documentation built to hold up under an external auditor, a grant funder or a readiness review, prepared by our accounting team so the audit itself moves faster and with fewer follow-up requests.
- Audit-ready booksMonthly and year-end books maintained with the support and schedules an external auditor expects to see on day one, so fieldwork starts without a scramble to reconstruct records.
- PBC list managementThe auditor's provided-by-client request list tracked item by item, with documents gathered, organized and delivered on schedule instead of chased down in the final week.
- Working paper preparationSupporting schedules and reconciliations built the way an auditor expects to see them, cross-referenced to the trial balance, so review comments come back with fewer open questions.
- Internal controls documentationFinancial process controls, such as who approves a payment or reconciles an account, written down and walked through with your team, so an auditor or funder can see how the numbers are actually produced.
- Grant compliance supportGrant funds tracked separately from other revenue, spent against the approved budget, and documented the way a funder or a single-audit reviewer expects to see it.
- SOC readiness bookkeepingFinancial recordkeeping and evidence-gathering support for companies preparing for a service-organization examination, keeping the accounting-side documentation consistent while the technical control work is led by your security team or examiner.
For accounting and tax firms
Capacity for firms, white-labeled
Back-office capacity for accounting, bookkeeping and tax firms: white-label bookkeeping, busy-season overflow, dedicated staff pods and review support, delivered under your firm's name.
- White-label bookkeepingMonthly bookkeeping produced under your firm's own name and templates, so your clients see your brand while our team handles sorting transactions into categories, reconciling and reporting behind it.
- Busy season tax prep supportPreparation-support capacity for firms during filing season: source documents put in order, workpapers built and draft returns assembled for your credentialed preparers to review and sign.
- Dedicated staff podsA named, fixed group of accountants assigned to your firm alone, working your files on your schedule, rather than a rotating pool shared across other engagements.
- Overflow cleanup projectsFixed-scope cleanup and catch-up projects your firm can hand off when a client's books are too far behind for your own staff to absorb without disrupting other work.
- Review supportA second set of eyes on files your firm has already prepared, checking ties, disclosures and workpaper completeness before they reach your partner for sign-off.
- Outsourced capacity planningPlanning work for firms deciding how much bookkeeping and prep capacity to hand to an outsourced pod, including pilot scoping, staffing ramp and handoff design before any files move.
Software and migrations
Set up right, connected right
Setup, cleanup and migration work for the accounting platform and the tools around it: QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite and Sage Intacct, plus the integrations that feed them, so the software matches how the business actually runs.
- QuickBooks setup, cleanup and migrationA new QuickBooks Online file built to fit the business, or an existing file cleaned up and reconciled, plus migration from spreadsheets or another platform without losing history.
- Xero setup and migrationA Xero file configured for the business from day one, or a move into Xero from another platform, with the chart of accounts, bank feeds and history carried across cleanly.
- Sage Intacct supportSetup, cleanup and ongoing bookkeeping inside Sage Intacct, including dimension structure, multi-entity consolidations and the reconciliations that keep a multi-entity close on schedule.
- A2X and Link My Books integrationMarketplace and payment settlement data connected into QuickBooks Online or Xero through A2X or Link My Books, so lump-sum payouts split into sales, fees, refunds and reserves.
- Stripe and Shopify integrationStripe and Shopify payment data connected and reconciled into the accounting file, so processor fees, refunds and payouts are visible instead of buried inside a single deposit line.
Special situations
For the books that do not fit a monthly close
Bookkeeping for the situations a standard monthly close does not cover: years of backlog, missing records, a platform shutdown, a dormant entity, a wind-down, or several locations that need one consolidated view.
- Multi-year catch-upBringing several years of unreconciled or missing books current in one structured engagement, scoped and timed before the work starts.
- Records reconstructionRebuilding a business's financial history from bank statements, receipts and other source documents when the original books are incomplete, lost or unreliable.
- Dormant company bookkeepingBookkeeping and reporting for an entity that is registered but not actively trading, so required filings can still be prepared and stay current until it reactivates or winds down.
- Wind-down exit packA structured close-out of the books and records when a business is winding down or dissolving, so the final return, the final state filings and the exit itself all rest on numbers that reconcile.
- Franchise and multi-entity consolidationBookkeeping across multiple franchise units or related entities, each location's books kept separately and then rolled up into one consolidated view.

Questions
Questions about our services
Do you file VAT returns?
No. We prepare the figures. Filing under OSS, IOSS or a national VAT scheme stays with your own registration or a credentialed local partner.
What software do you work in?
Xero and QuickBooks Online, alongside tools like Exact, Sage or SAP Business One depending on your entity.
Can I start with just bookkeeping?
Yes. You can start with monthly bookkeeping and add OSS reporting support or catch-up work as you need it.
Is catch-up work priced differently?
Yes, per backlog month, quoted once we have seen the accounts involved.
Can we combine services from more than one hub, like bookkeeping and virtual CFO work?
Yes, most accounts run more than one service together, and the two are scoped and priced as one engagement rather than two separate contracts. Tell us what your business already has in place and we will map out what is missing.
Do services differ between an EU entity and one of your other regions?
The underlying work follows the same weekly-reconciliation model everywhere, but the framing changes to match local rules: VAT and OSS/IOSS for the EU rather than sales tax or GST, and a credentialed local partner handling anything reserved to that member state.
