Cash application
Every Saudi riyal that lands from a customer, by SARIE transfer, mada card or a Gulf-region wire, is matched to the invoice it settles inside Zoho Books, QuickBooks Online or Xero, so your receivable balance reflects what a customer actually still owes rather than whatever the bank feed shows that morning.

Matching a payment to its invoice, not just its amount
Every incoming payment gets matched to the specific invoice or invoices it settles, whether it clears through SARIE, arrives as a mada card payment, a payment-gateway charge, or a wire from a customer outside the Kingdom. A partial payment or an amount that overshoots the invoice gets flagged rather than applied on a guess, and the call on how to post it stays with you.
What sits on the unmatched list
A transfer with no reference, or a reference that matches nothing open, sits on a short unmatched list until we confirm who sent it, rather than getting buried inside the bank feed for weeks as an unexplained balance. Gateway fees on card payments are pulled out separately from the gross deposit, so the invoice shows the amount actually collected against it, not the amount before the processor took its cut.
Riyal, dollar and everything between
Accounts held at Al Rajhi Bank, Saudi National Bank, Riyad Bank or Alinma each feed the same matching process, and a payment landing in a separate foreign-currency account for a customer outside Saudi Arabia still gets tied back to the right invoice rather than sitting as its own unexplained deposit.
Same-day matching, not a month-end scramble
Matching runs the same day a payment clears, not once a month during close, because a late match makes a customer look overdue when they already paid, or current when they have not. That daily discipline is also what keeps the ageing report, and the Zakat base figures it eventually feeds, clean instead of restated after the fact.
Questions
Frequently asked questions: Cash application
Do you match payments received through mada as well as bank transfer?
Yes. mada card settlements, SARIE transfers and gateway payments are all matched the same way, against the specific invoice each one settles.
What happens to a deposit we cannot identify?
It sits on a short unmatched list rather than being guessed onto an invoice. We follow up with you or the customer before posting it anywhere.
Do you handle a customer paying from a foreign bank account?
Yes, a payment from outside Saudi Arabia is matched back to the invoice it settles, with any exchange difference recorded rather than absorbed silently into the balance.
How often does matching actually run?
Daily, not at month end, so the receivable balance you see reflects payments that cleared days ago rather than a backlog waiting to be processed.
What happens when a customer pays the wrong amount?
We hold it as an open item, note what does not match, and ask you how to apply it rather than guessing.
Do you handle payments across multiple bank accounts or processors?
Yes. Deposits from Stripe, PayPal, ACH and wire all get matched back to invoices regardless of which account they land in.
What is included in cash application?
Cash application covers incoming payments matched to the invoice or invoices they settle and partial payments and overpayments flagged for your instruction. The exact scope is agreed and set out in writing before work starts, so you know precisely what is and is not covered before the first deliverable arrives.
How is cash application priced?
Pricing for cash application depends on your transaction volume, the software you use, and how much cleanup is needed before ongoing work starts. Current ranges are published on the pricing page, and your exact fee is confirmed in writing before anything begins.
