Payroll, coordinated and reconciled
Payroll support
Finbryn reviews each Saudi Arabia pay run before it moves through the Wage Protection Program on Mudad, calculates GOSI contributions for Saudi and non-Saudi staff on their separate bases, and posts the payroll journal entries to your books. Mudad and your bank handle the wage transfer itself. This coordination work is contracted through Northlane Solutions Inc..

WPS pay-run review before Mudad sees it
Most private-sector employees in Saudi Arabia are paid through the Wage Protection Program, monitored by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development and run in practice through the Mudad platform, which checks that every registered worker is paid on time and in full through a bank or licensed payment channel. We review the draft pay run before that file goes to Mudad, basic salary against the employment contract, allowances against what was actually approved, and any new joiner or leaver against current records, so a mismatch is caught before the run leaves rather than after Mudad flags it.
GOSI: two different contribution bases
GOSI contributions work differently depending on nationality. A Saudi employee's contribution runs to 21.5% of contributable wage in total: 9% employer and 9% employee toward annuities, 2% employer toward occupational hazards, and 0.75% each toward SANED unemployment insurance. A non-Saudi employee sits outside the annuities and SANED branches entirely, with only a 2% employer contribution toward occupational hazards. We reconcile the deduction taken from each pay run against the amount actually remitted to GOSI, split correctly by nationality rather than applied as one blended rate.
End of service benefits, accrued not just paid
End of service benefits for staff outside the GOSI annuities branch build up under Saudi Labor Law and are paid out on exit rather than monthly. We accrue that liability, and accrued annual leave, every period rather than let it sit unrecorded until someone resigns and the year-end reserve turns out to be wrong.
MISA-licensed foreign companies, one payroll cycle at a time
A foreign-owned company operating under a Ministry of Investment licence, or a Saudi entity with staff split across Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam offices, still runs one payroll cycle through Mudad rather than several. We reconcile the run into one set of books regardless of how many offices or work locations feed into it. GCC subsidiaries of US and UK groups tend to reach us at exactly this point, local payroll running correctly through the bank, with no one checking it against the ledger.
Who processes and who files
Your bank submits the wage file through Mudad; GOSI collects its own contributions directly. Finbryn's part is the review before the run, the reconciliation after it, and the journal entries in between. See payroll journals and reconciliations for how that entry is recorded, or the pricing page for how coordination work is scoped.

Questions
Frequently asked questions: Payroll support
Does Finbryn submit our wage file through Mudad?
No. Your bank submits it through Mudad. We review the draft pay run beforehand and reconcile the report once it has gone through.
Do you calculate GOSI contributions for our Saudi and non-Saudi staff?
Yes, split by the two different bases nationality determines, and we reconcile what was withheld against what GOSI actually collected. Registration and remittance stay with your business through GOSI's own portal.
Can you handle payroll across offices in more than one city?
Yes. Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam or any other location still runs through one Mudad-connected payroll cycle, and we reconcile it into one set of books.
Do you track end of service benefits?
Yes. For staff outside the GOSI annuities branch, we accrue the liability each pay period under Saudi Labor Law, so it is not a surprise on the balance sheet when someone leaves.
What software do you work in?
Whatever you already use, including QuickBooks Online, Xero and Zoho Books, alongside the Mudad-connected payroll platform your bank requires.
How is payroll support priced for Saudi companies?
Pricing depends on headcount, whether staff are Saudi or non-Saudi under GOSI, and how much cleanup is needed before ongoing work starts. Current ranges are on the pricing page, confirmed in writing before anything begins.
