Finbryn reads a correspondence audit letter line by line, then assembles the receipts, statements and workpapers it requests into one indexed package matched to each specific item under review. Our enrolled agent or CPA partner submits the finished package and handles any direct examiner contact under a signed Form 2848, consistent with Circular 230.

The process

Letter review against actual scope
We read the audit letter line by line, confirm the deadline, and match each request against the specific form line or credit it questions.

Records pull from existing bookkeeping
We pull whatever supporting documentation already exists in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or a receipt-capture tool before reconstructing anything.

Gap identification
Any item the letter requests that is not already documented gets flagged early, with a plan to reconstruct it from bank records or explain it.

Document indexing
Each receipt, statement, or workpaper is indexed against the specific line item it supports, organized into a single package by issue.

Cover memo and internal review
A short memo summarizing what each section addresses accompanies the package before it goes to our enrolled agent or CPA partner.

Submission and examiner contact
Our enrolled agent or CPA partner reviews, finalizes, and submits the package, and handles any direct examiner contact from that point on.

Pricing
Correspondence audit document pack preparation is quoted as a standalone project, priced by how many items the letter raises and how much supporting documentation already exists versus needs reconstruction, separate from the monthly bookkeeping tiers on the rate card. We give a fixed price after reading the actual letter, before the document pull starts.
