Working inside your own subscription
You keep the QuickBooks Online subscription in your own name and add us as an accountant-level user, an access level you can revoke at any time. We do not require you to move onto our own instance of the software, which means the file and its full history stay yours no matter what.
What we set up
Where a business is starting fresh, we set up the chart of accounts, bank feeds, and coding rules that speed up categorization over time. Where a file already exists, we tidy what is there rather than rebuilding for the sake of it.
Monthly work
Each month, transactions are categorized, bank and card accounts are reconciled, and the close produces a profit and loss, a balance sheet and an open-items list, all inside QuickBooks Online's own ledger, not a shadow spreadsheet kept elsewhere.
App connections that matter
QuickBooks Online connects cleanly to Dext or Hubdoc for receipt capture, and to Bill.com for accounts payable workflows. We configure the connections your business actually needs rather than turning on every integration available.
Migrating in
If you are moving from desktop QuickBooks, another platform, or spreadsheets, we handle the migration: chart of accounts, historical transactions, and open balances, so nothing from before the switch gets lost.
What stays constant
Regardless of which app connections your business needs, the monthly standard is the same: every transaction categorized, every account reconciled, and a close you can hand to a lender or tax preparer without a follow-up call.
Questions
Frequently asked questions: QuickBooks Online bookkeeping
Do you use QuickBooks Online's built-in reports or custom ones?
Both. The built-in reports cover most monthly needs; we build custom reports where your business needs a view QuickBooks Online does not offer out of the box.
Can you work with a QuickBooks Online file that already has years of history?
Yes. We review what is already there and clean up what needs it rather than starting the file over.
Do you set up bank rules to speed up categorization?
Yes, once we review a few months of your transaction patterns, so routine coding happens faster without sacrificing accuracy.
What does quickBooks Online bookkeeping actually include, month to month?
QuickBooks Online bookkeeping covers a QuickBooks Online file set up or tidied under your own subscription, along with bank feeds, apps and rules configured so coding gets faster over time. The work runs inside QuickBooks Online, Dext, Hubdoc or Bill.com, the file stays under your own subscription, and a senior principal reviews the output before it reaches you each period.
What access do you need to start quickBooks Online bookkeeping?
View or edit access to QuickBooks Online, Dext, Hubdoc or Bill.com is enough to begin; nothing about your existing subscription or login changes on our side. Any additional access needed for a specific deliverable, such as a bank portal or receipt inbox, is agreed with you first, and the scope is set out in your engagement letter.
Do you need admin access to my QuickBooks Online account?
We work as an accountant-level user you invite and can remove at any time; you keep the subscription in your own name.
Can you migrate us from desktop QuickBooks to QuickBooks Online?
Yes, including moving lists, historical transactions and open balances across.
What is included in quickBooks Online bookkeeping?
QuickBooks Online bookkeeping covers a QuickBooks Online file set up or tidied under your own subscription and bank feeds, apps and rules configured so coding gets faster over time. The exact scope is agreed and set out in writing before work starts, so you know precisely what is and is not covered before the first deliverable arrives.
How is quickBooks Online bookkeeping priced?
Pricing for quickBooks Online bookkeeping depends on your transaction volume, the software you use, and how much cleanup is needed before ongoing work starts. Current ranges are published on the pricing page, and your exact fee is confirmed in writing before anything begins.
